December is here, and we’re ready to spread a little holiday cheer this month! Here are a few of our favorite things in December to celebrate and do with your troop.
- 12 Days of Girl Scouts – to celebrate the holiday season, we are giving away 12 days of prizes via social media! Each day on our Facebook and Instagram from December 11 – 22, we will have a fun contest, each with its own prize! It’s easy to participate each day (all can easily be done from home), and prizes range from complete Girl Scout Uniforms, Cookie prizes, special activities with our Membership team, and more! The schedule for 12 Days of Girl Scouts is the following:

- 12/12: Guess how many Girl Scout Cookies are in the jar!
- 12/13: Holiday Horse Contest
- 12/14: Membership Contest
- 12/15: Camp Trivia Contest

- Candy Cane S’mores – why not blend a favorite holiday treat with our favorite Girl Scout treat? These Candy Cane S’mores are made inside, take only 10 minutes to make, and look so delicious. Give them a try and let us know how they compare to the traditional s’more recipe!
- “What Cookie Are You?” Quiz – we all have our favorite Girl Scout Cookie, but which one matches your personality the best? Take our “What Girl Scout Cookie Are You?” quiz to figure out which cookie you are! This would be such a fun activity to kick off your troop meeting with this month!
- Girl Scout Cookie Bracket – we’re putting our Girl Scout Cookies to the ultimate popularity test! We’re asking the community to vote on their favorite Girl Scout Cookies this month, and we will announce the winner in December! Visit our social media pages to vote for your favorite cookie and view our bracket!
- Set New Year Resolutions – who else is ready for a fresh start in 2021! Even though it may seem a little early, your December troop meeting would be a great time to start setting New Year Resolutions with your troop! - Cooking Contest with Junior League of Nashville – calling all Girl Scout Chefs! Junior League of Nashville is hosting a Holiday Recipe Contest! Girl Scouts can enter the contest simply by sending in a holiday recipe to c.hawkins3091@gmail.com by December 17. The winners will be announced in a Zoom call on December 20, and the first and second place winners will receive an Amazon gift card!
- Holiday Fun Patches – we’re loving this whole new lineup of Holiday Fun Patches in The Cabin, and they are selling them for only $1.25. Email nashvilleshop@gsmidtn.org to purchase one, or arrange a pickup at The Cabin.
- Girl Scout Cookie Scavenger Hunt – our Product Programs team has put together the cutest Virtual Cookie Scavenger Hunt to do with your troop! Around the school break this month would be a great time to cross some of these items off the list!
