Training Resources

  • Cancellation Policy

Trainings, like all GSMIDTN programs and events, operate on a first-come, first-served basis. By registering for a training, you have reserved your spot; we use registration numbers to purchase supplies and schedule trainers for each session. As such, we require that cancellation or rescheduling of trainings be received no later than 3 weeks prior to the training to be guaranteed a refund or transfer of monies paid. While we can help you to reschedule a training, we ask that you do so prior to three weeks before it is scheduled. Unpaid registrations are not considered notice of cancellation and full payment is expected.

If you used your troop’s Free Training Credit to pay for a training, please note GSMIDTN’s policy: For First Aid/CPR Skills Test, Camping Skills 1, and Camping Skills 2, if a volunteer is using their free training credit and cancels and/or reschedules within 3 weeks of the training they risk losing that free training credit for the year. Exceptions will be made at GSMIDTN’s discretion for illness and family emergencies.

If a training is cancelled by GSMIDTN for any reason, a refund will be issued. Volunteer Resources will contact you if the training is postponed, rescheduled, or cancelled due to inclement weather. Please use your best judgement when traveling. Full payment is required unless written cancellation is received 3 weeks prior to an event. Refunds for unexpected sickness or family emergencies will be considered upon request.

To request a refund, submit the request with explanation in writing.
