Happy Volunteer Appreciation Month! This organization and its mission exist because of the incredible volunteers that pour their time and energy into making the world around them a better place. Whether our volunteers are planning a fun event or considering how to make activities accessible for everyone in their troop, it is clear that their hard work is motivated by building women of courage, confidence and character. We encourage you all to take this month to wholeheartedly thank the volunteers around you!

Looking for ways to celebrate your fellow volunteers? Here are a few ideas!

  1. Ask your service unit leader to consider specific volunteers for awards! If they need any assistance determining who has received what in past years, Volunteer Resources is more than happy to help.
  2. Coordinate a troop thank you note for each of your troop leaders! No one can testify to the awesome abilities of each troop leader quite like their Girl Scouts. If you feel inclined, you all could even throw your leaders a surprise party!

  3. Learn more about your fellow volunteers and how you can support their goals. You may find that someone participates in walks to fund medical research, or that someone could benefit from swapping babysitting nights.

  4. Let your troop leader and fellow volunteers know how they have specifically impacted.
