Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
Youth Mental Health First Aid introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. This is a free training presented in partnership with Tennessee Voices. Please plan to bring a sack lunch.

First Aid/CPR/AED
This is the 2nd part of a two part series to earn First Aid/CPR/AED certification. This session will be held in-person. Skills Test must be completed within 90 days of completing CPR/First Aid Part 1 – Online Classwork. Part 1 will be emailed to you a few weeks prior to your training. Come get your USA Archery Level 1 certification! This will allow you to lead archery for your troop at camp at a discounted rate, or to check-out our travel archery kit for a closer-to-home experience. An additional fee is required to join US Archery and obtain your certificate. Please plan to bring a lunch. All activities and equipment rentals require prior approval of the Adventure Specialist. This training teaches volunteers to become knowledgeable in the TN Department of Health Food Service Establishment codes for serving healthy and appealing food. Participants will learn proper use, cleaning, & maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment at GSMIDTN camp properties & dining room procedures for large group facilitation. Food purchases, user responsibility regarding food purchases & core provisions to be provided at camp properties will also be discussed. Adult Fee: $15 Non-Member Adult Fee: $20

Learn the basics of building a fire, cooking outdoors, knife safety, and more. This training is required before making any overnight reservation at GSMIDTN properties.
