A few dark clouds and a little rain could not dampen the enthusiasm for Golfing for Girls. On Monday April 23, Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee hosted their annual golf tournament at the beautiful Richland Country Club. Our generous hosts once again provided a gorgeous backdrop to the numerous teams competing.
Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee staff checked in all of the players who then received a goodie bag complete with golf balls, a GSMIDTN ball marker, a monogrammed divot tool and, of course, a box of Girl Scout cookies – everyone needs a snack when they have eighteen holes to play!
The weather held steady, and competition was fierce but good-natured. By the end of the afternoon two teams claimed first and second place.
First Place: MCA | Cody Steele, Matt Scudder, Pat McFarland, R.J. Meadows
Second Place: Data Access | Brian Bault, Cody Self, Kyle Meredith, Norman Self
The tired golfers enjoyed an array of sandwiches and beverages in the Richland Country Club Taproom while tournament organizers awarded the prizes and thanked each of the sponsors and teams whose participation provided generous support to Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee programming.
Once again Golfing for Girls was an enormous success and Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee is grateful for the support. We look forward to next year!
