It was no April Fool’s joke: We had a fantastic time at Girl Scouts Summit on April 1!

Girl Scouts enjoyed a wide range of programming, including STEAM activities, financial literacy lessons, a college/career panel, archery, and more! This was a special Summit year, as we also held a variety of volunteer enrichment sessions. These sessions were primarily led by volunteers, so it’s only right that we take a moment to celebrate them! Thank you to our amazing session leaders for taking your Saturday to dive deeper into Girl Scouts practices.

We began the day with a round table discussion for new and seasoned leaders. This format allowed participants and session leaders to discuss a multitude of questions that come up for our leaders. Wherever you are on your leadership journey, it is important that you know you can always ask for advice or assistance from our community!

Throughout Summit, we broke into different sessions such as Destinations, Engaging Girls of All Abilities, Product Programs, Intent to Travel and Insurance, Flag Ceremonies, Traditions, and so much more. These sessions were led by outstanding volunteers that have experience in their subject area. Throughout the day, our session participants were able to learn new skills and connect with other leaders. We are so excited to see what you all accomplish with your troops from this point forward!

Is there a Girl Scouts subject that you would like to learn more about? Would you like to connect with fellow leaders in your area? Email our Volunteer Resources team for assistance locating resources or any questions you may have as one of our volunteers. Thank you all for your incredible leadership!
