Community partnerships are an invaluable part of the Girl Scout experience. Our partner organizations focus on areas as varied as STEAM, sports, and the fine arts. Partnerships allow us to offer a variety of unique, enriching opportunities to our members to help them learn new skills, discover their passions, and make the world a better place!

Why Partner?

The Girl Scout mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee serves Girl Scouts in K-12th grade in 39 counties. We host programs for all different age levels, with opportunities available for Girl Scouts of every age and interest.

Our partner programs get the opportunity to positively impact young people at all levels, and potentially foster a new passion or skill. By partnering with Girl Scouts, local organizations get the opportunity to give back in a fun, enriching way.

Types of Partnerships

Joint Programs are robust programs that are jointly planned between the partner organization and a Girl Scout program manager. Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee will handle registration and advertising for the program. A Girl Scout staff member will be present during the program.

On Your Own Programs are robust programs that are planned and executed exclusively by the partner organization. A Girl Scout program manager may assist with designing the program, but registration will be completed by the partner organization. Girl Scouts will promote the program. A Girl Scout staff member will not be present during the program.

On Your Own Opportunities are activities open to the general public, but Girl Scouts receive a special discount for attending the program. Some organizations also opt to create a fun patch for the program. Registration will be completed by the partner organization. Girl Scouts will promote the program to our members. A Girl Scout staff member will not be present during the program.

Patch Programs are ongoing programs offered by partner organizations. The organization designs a special patch and a series of requirements for Girl Scouts to complete to earn the patch. Girl Scouts publishes an interactive map of all current patch programs in the Middle Tennessee region on our website.

Sponsorships: If your organization would prefer to donate time or money to an upcoming Girl Scout program, this is the partnership for you! We offer programming on a variety of topics throughout the year, including STEAM, leadership, mental health, and DEI. Sponsors receive special acknowledgment at programs.
