Advanced Outdoor Skills prepares leaders to camp with girls in a primitive setting without running water.  You will learn the basics of backpacking, primitive camping, menu planning, and essential skills like water filtration, wilderness hygiene, and outdoor cooking. This training includes an overnight interactive camping experience in a primitive setting where you will demonstrate skills presented in training. The campsite will be reached on foot, with no running water, electricity, or restrooms.

This class is designed for those who have completed Outdoor Skills (previously Camping Skills 1 and 2) and the Advanced Outdoor Skills online training. Participants will provide all required gear. Limited gear is available for use through Volunteer Resources resource reservations.
