Alumnae
Just because you are no longer selling Girl Scout cookies or going to summer camp doesn’t mean that you can’t still be a Girl Scout. Get connected with other women who, just like you, made new friends but kept the old. Be a part of an organization where you can truly impact a community by rediscovering Girl Scouts, connecting with other current and former Girl Scouts, and taking action to make the world a better place. Become a Girl Scout, again.
Give Back
Even if you don’t remember the whole Girl Scout Promise and Law you can still give back to an organization that takes girls on a journey to make the world a better place. Ways to give back:
• Be a troop leader or co-leader
• Share your Girl Scout and professional experiences with girls
• Lead meetings and conduct activities with girls on a regular basis
• Help a troop leader lead activities or be an adult role model to a troop
• Share your interests in a specific skill at special events
• Get outdoors. Help girls with activities like rappelling, high/low ropes courses or by being a life guard. Girl Scouts even provides training for some activities.
• Teach a workshop and share a skill that you’re passionate about
• Volunteer positions are available within each service unit (a group of troops within a geographic area). Some opportunities are seasonal while others are year-round.
• Financially support Girl Scout programs such as summer camp, financial literacy classes and traveling abroad
