Packaged Programs

Instructions, Fees and Use

  • All packaged programs are available for check out through the volunteer resource center in the Nashville Girl Scout Shop.
  • Download and complete the Package Program and Science Tub Reservation form, turn the reservation form into your local service center.
  • Reservations must be submitted two weeks prior to pick-up date.  Check out time is three weeks (with exception to the Journey Resource Kits).
  • Non-refundable use fee is $5 for each program except Zink the Zebra ($10).  All packaged programs require a $25 refundable deposit, due at the time of reservation.  Please submit two separate checks (one for the use fee, one for the reservation fee).  No fee required for the Folic Acid program

*NEW It’s Your World, Change It! Journey Resource Kits
Troops of all grade levels will be able to delve into the world of the first Journey introduced in 2008, It’s Your World, Change It! These resource kits will include activity supplies for the sample sessions as stated in the grade level appropriate facilitator guide as well as thematic props. Girls will be able to share suggestions and ideas to the next troop through a Journey Journal. Check out time for this progam is eight weeks. Available to Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies September 1, 2010 AND Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors October 1, 2010.

*Centsability
Learn key concepts between lifestyle and occupational choices as girls imagine they are young adults.  Also, learn how to balance income and expenses as girls create and balance their own budgets.  Available to Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.


*Folic Acid
Provides leaders with the materials to lead workshops to teach girls about general nutrition, folic acid and why folic acid is important part of a balanced diet.  Available to Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.  There are no fees for this program or patches.

*Girl Scouting Around the World Badge:
Refer to the Junior Badge book for a complete description.  Available to Girl Scout Juniors.

*Girl Scouting the the USA Badge
Refer to the Junior Badge book for a complete description.  Available to Girl Scout Juniors.

GirlSports Basics
Learn the basics of motor skills and agility, throwing, catching, volleying and batting.  Includes a leader guide, 96 activity cards and poster.  Limited number of FREE patches are available through the volunteer resource center.  (Sports equipment not included).  Available to Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies.

*Junior Jeweler Badge
Refer to the Junior Badge book for the requirements for the Jeweler badge and a complete description.  Available to Girl Scout Juniors.

*Night Hike
Learn about the different night animals and their sounds.  A written guide will provide instructions for leading a night hike, recognizing animal sounds,, as well as other activities and projects.  Available to Girl Scout Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Patches are available for purchase through the volunteer resource center.

*Zink the Zebra
Girls will learn the importance of understanding, respect, compassion and acceptance of themselves and others.  More information can be found at www.zinkthezebra.org.  Patches and Zink learning tools are available for purchase through the volunteer resource center.  Available to Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and NOW Juniors.

Science Tubs - Bridging the Gap Science, Engineering and Math (SEM)

  • Non-refundable use fee is $10 for each tub.  All tubs require a $25 refundable deposit, due at the time of reservation.  Please submit two separate checks (one for the use fee, one for the reservation fee).
  • Tubs include most necessary materials.

Color Wonders
Learn about primary colors and making new colors.  Available to Girl Scout Daisies.

Science in Action
Refer to the Science in Action try-it in your Brownie Badge book.  Available to Girl Scout Brownies.

Science Wonders
Refer to the Science Wonders try-it in your Brownie Badge book.  Available to Girl Scout Brownies.

Geology
Girls will learn about rocks and minerals.  Available to Girl Scout Juniors.

Discovering Technology
Refer to the Discovering Technology badge in the Junior Badge book.  Available to Girl Scout Juniors.

Science Activities
Activities will range from chemistry to astrology.  Available to Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.
