Pony Up!

There are 40 hungry horses at Camp Sycamore Hills waiting for you!  It costs $1,000 per year to feed and care for just one horse.  To keep our horses happy and healthy, Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee is offering you a unique opportunity to Pony Up! and sponsor a horse for a year, from September 1, 2009 until August 31, 2010.  add description  Your sponsorship will provide the much-needed funding to care for these horses and help bring the Girl Scout experience to more than 3,000 girls each year.

How Pony Up! Campaign Works

  • Look through the gallery of our beautiful horses by clicking here  Simply click on the horse of your choice to read a short bio of your selected horse.  As a Pony Up! sponsor, your name will be listed with your horse’s bio on Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee’s website for an entire year.

  • In order to help us with your selection, please make note of your top three favorite horses, in order of priority.  If your first choice has already been selected by another sponsor, will will make every effort to meet your second choice.  Horses will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

  • You may make your selection and sponsorship one of four ways according to your needs:

Levels of Sponsorship

  • Sponsor one horse for one year - $1,000
  • Sponsor half of one horse for one year - $500
  • Sponsor quarter of one horse for one year - $250

Pony Up! minimum sponsorship is $250.  Troops or other groups sponsoring a horse will be recognized as their specific troop number or group name.

Sponsor Recognition

  • Your name (as you would like it displayed) will appear next to the bio of the horse that you or your troop/group has sponsored.  This can also be a great way to honor someone who loves horses.
  • Remember to visit the website throughout the year for updates about our horse programming and the success of Pony Up!
  • In addition, your name or troop/group will be listed as a Pony Up! sponsor in the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee Annual Report.
  • Sponsors will also be featured in our quarterly publication, GSQ.
  • A private meet and greet reception will be held at Camp Sycamore Hills equestrian center where sponsors will meet their favorite horses.  Attendees will also take part in a special unveiling of the plans for the new equestrian center, after which progress will be posted throughout the year on Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee website.
