On Your Own Programs
To further reinforce the journey to leadership, troops have the option of experiencing a packaged or an On Your Own program rather than a facilitated program. On Your Own programs offer girls another tool to discover the world around them as they take their Girl Scout journey. Girls can sign up individually to experience new and exciting activities offered by partnering organizations for a nominal fee. Packaged Programs
Just like it sounds, the package program provides programming with all the necessary instructions and tools, wrapped up and ready to go. A simple reservation process and a small fee can bring the experience right to a troop meeting. The package programs allow girls to earn badges and patches and further supplement their leadership skills by successfully completing their goal-focused activities. Patch Programs
In addition to the Council-sponsored, On Your Own and Package programs, the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee offers a wide variety of our very own try-its, badges and patches. Girls also have the opportunity to complete GSUSA’s try-its, badges, patches and interest projects that are found in your age-level and Journey books.
