An interview is required before a girl begins implementation of a Gold Award Take Action project. Typically interviews are hosted once or twice a month and last approximately 30 minutes.

Prior to requesting an interview, the following prerequisites must be met 1) Senior or Ambassador Journey(s) completed, 2) preliminary research on how the proposed project will demonstrate extraordinary leadership, have a measurable and sustainable impact as well as how it will be addressing a local challenge that relates to a national and/or global issue and 3) a completed Gold Award Project Proposal Form submitted two weeks prior to the date you wish to have an interview.

Once the proposal is received, it is scanned and forwarded to the members of the Highest Awards Committee to review prior to the interview using the GSUSA Standards of Excellence.

  • If there are any points of clarification needed, girls may be contacted to bring clarification or answers to questions to the interview.
  • Information is sent via e-mail on how to prepare, what to expect at the interview as well as things to bring to the interview.
  • Interviews are scheduled for 30-minute time slots.
