Experience Camp

For more than 50 years the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee have inspired girls to take their journey outside where they can truly discover the many adventures that our camps have to offer.  By empowering girls of all ages and outdoor experience levels to connect with their natural surroundings, they will value and appreciate the preservation of their Girl Scout camps and also their planet, making the world a better place.  Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee offers four unique camp experiences throughout the region. We’re also open seven days a week!  Click here to view E-Council.  To learn more about camp, view our Frequently Asked Questions or Camp Resources.

Summer Camps

Girl Scouts can spend the summer, whether it’s a couple of days or several weeks at summer camp.  Both Camp Holloway in Millersville and Camp Sycamore Hills in Ashland City offer summer camps in the summer and troop camping throughout the year.  Our trained staff and facilitators meet strict guidelines to ensure the safety of our campers.

You will be able to view and register your daughter for upcoming summer camp activities through our online registration and database system called E Council.  Registration begins on January 4. Please note: If you submit your registration form before January 4, 2010,  your form will be treated equally with no regard to order received.  However, registrations received after January 4, 2010 will be given priority based on the date they are received.  All completed forms and all fees are due in full on May 3, 2010. Campers who have not paid in full by May 3, 2010 will lose their reservation at camp and the non-refundable deposit will be retained. The only credit cards accepted through E Council are Visa and MasterCard. Camp buddy requests are not available online.

Day Camps

Girls will learn to explore and appreciate the outdoors, just like resident camping but without the overnight stays.  One or more service units participates in day camps at area camps, parks and private properties.  Volunteer camp directors are responsible for planning and operating the camp as well as recruiting and training the staff. Girls must register through their service unit individually, rather than through their troop. Equestrian day camps are also available.  Click here to see all the day camps we have to offer!

New day camps are added each year, yet we still have girls who are not served because there are no camps in their area, or the scheduled day camps are full. If you’re interested in helping to provide a day camp in your area, please attend one of our director training sessions.  The rewards of directing or working at day camp are priceless.  To learn more about the day camp experience, please contact (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) at (615) 460-0252.
