Curiosity, wonder, and questions about the onset of puberty fill the minds of “tween-age” girls. Fear and anxiety tightly grip their parents. The “Mothers and Daughters Learning Together” program brings these two reactions together as families prepare to face the journey to adolescence. Girl Scouts in fourth through eighth grades and their female guardians are invited attend this program that includes four healthy living sessions: Physical Activity Workshop, Body Awareness Workshop, Real Nutrition for Real Girls and Social/Emotional Changes.
Presented with the support of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Registration fee includes light refreshments for participants.
