MTSU Athletics Sports Clinic
Try out different sports!
MTSU Athletics invites girls to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Title IX (when schools had to provide equal opportunity to female athletes). In conjunction with National Girls & Women in Sports Day, Girl Scouts have the chance to spend time with MTSU athletes and learn a little about soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis and more. Between noon and 2:00 p.m. girls will rotate through different sports. After that, if they want to stay, they will be fed and then can attend a basketball double header. MTSU vs. Louisiana. The women’s game begins at 3:00 and Girl Scouts can be part of the high-five tunnel when the team runs on to the floor.
The fee for the clinic, food, and games is 6.00 per girl. Family and friends who want to attend the games may purchase a ticket for $5.00. In addition, Girl Scouts will receive a special MTSU patch. For more information or to reserve your spot, contact Jena Smith at Jena.Smith@mtsu.edu or (615) 494-8951. Space is limited. The deadline for reservations is January 7.
