Curiosity, wonder, and questions about the onset of puberty fill the minds of “tween-age” girls. Fear and anxiety tightly grip their parents. The “Mothers and Daughters Learning Together” program brings these two reactions together as families prepare to face the journey to adolescence. Girl Scouts in 4th-8th grade and their female guardians are invited attend this program that includes three healthy living sessions: Social/Emotional Changes, Body Awareness Workshop, Real Nutrition for Real Girls and Physical Activity Workshop.
Presented with the support of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
