Kids in the Kitchen: Grades K-3
This Kids in the Kitchen is for grades 1-3.
Ladies from the Junior League will be demonstrating various food preparation techniques and assist the children in preparing healthy snacks and meals that are tasty and easy. In addition to lessons on healthy foods, other activities including exercise demonstrations and other healthy living examples will be led. Each attendee will receive take-home materials that include learning exercises for kids, tips on nutrition, recipes and other information on the childhood obesity problem.
The goal of the Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen is to promote children’s health and wellness by empowering children and youth to make healthy lifestyle choices; therefore, preventing obesity and its associated health risks.
