DESCRIPTION:<p>This Kids in the Kitchen is for grades 1-3.</p>\n<p>Ladies f
 rom the Junior League will be demonstrating various food preparation techn
 iques and assist the children in preparing healthy snacks and meals that a
 re tasty and easy. In addition to lessons on healthy foods\, other activit
 ies including exercise demonstrations and other healthy living examples wi
 ll be led. Each attendee will receive take-home materials that include lea
 rning exercises for kids\, tips on nutrition\, recipes and other informati
 on on the childhood obesity problem.</p>\n<p>The goal of the Junior League
 s’ <em>Kids in the Kitchen</em> is to promote children’s health and wellne
 ss by empowering children and youth to make healthy lifestyle choices\; th
 erefore\, preventing obesity and its associated health risks.</p>\n<p> </p
